Stem Cell Research Center hosted its first annual Flo-pen House
March 14, 2019
In 2019, we hosted our first annual Flo-pen House, featuring the Stem Cell Research Center Core Facility’s equipment and services. More than 12 stations showcased our flow cytometry and imaging platforms with live demonstrations. In addition to learning about the Stem Cell Techniques Courses, visitors interested in gene editing services had the opportunity to learn about the new CRISPR Core.
More than 60 attendees from various departments across campus joined us and represented faculty, staff, and students. This event created an atmosphere to network, discuss their scientific goals. They were able to speak with the SCRC staff to learn more about services and instrumentation, discuss experimental plans, and ask questions. We also invited select vendors. They not only provided refreshments and raffle prizes for the attendees but also shared technical guidance for their products, including reagents, consumables, instrumentation, and software.
