Naming Opportunities

For the first time in the history of the world, cells that are many times smaller than the period at the end of this sentence have assumed a commanding role in science, health, politics and ethics, as well as in state and national legislation.

Because voters in the state of California chose to lead the nation in stem cell research, scholarly work conducted at UC Irvine is likely to have a lasting effect on the economies of California , the United States and the world. All of this is in addition to stem cells' main claim to fame—their potential for curing disease and assisting in repair and regeneration.

UC Irvine scientists across disciplines are making great progress in stem cell research. Establishing a new stem cell center, with philanthropy and California Proposition 71 funding, will allow us to enhance UC Irvine's stature by building upon our current expertise and by attracting new talent and research dollars. Please join us.
