Stem Cell Techniques Course

The most frequently-offered course is an intensive 2-week half-day Techniques Course, which has been offered two to four times a year since 2007 to a maximum of 12 students per course. Over 400 participants from all over the world have benefited from the courses offered thus far.


Participants of the Techniques Courses are immersed in hands-on training taught by an experienced instructor. Students also have the opportunity to meet and chat with advisory faculties.


At the end of each course, students receive a certificate of completion and a chance to develop their newfound techniques.

iPSC Culturing Hands-on Course

Human pluripotent stem cell culture techniques including passaging, cryo-preserving and thawing, embryoid body formation, transfection, immunostaining, chromosome spread, cardiomyocyte differentiation and neuronal progenitor differentiation.

iPSC Reprogramming Hands-on Course

iPSC basic culturing techniques plus reprogramming techniques including fibroblast seeding, transduction of Yamanaka Factors, and clone selection.
